WEBJan 6, 2022 · Mario Kart in some post-SNES form. Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre are RPG-strategy games in the vein of Final Fantasy Tactics. Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES). Apparently the Steam port is awful, but the game itself is good. Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World are probably the best 2D Mario games and still hold up.

WEBIt's 24 years old and still a top-3 RTS in popularity and is, IMO, still the best esport. Plus for me it's the most fun of any game on this list. Warcraft 3 is my least-favourite game in the top 10, but it deserves a top-5 spot, so I've put it ahead of SupCom, War2 and RA2 even though I like those games much more personally.

WEBI'd recommend System Shock 2 over the original System Shock. SS2 is available for $10 on Gog.com too. Though the original System Shock was highly influential to the FPS/RPG genre, for its time (1994), the controls and maybe even the interface would be pretty damn annoying to play nowadays.
