WEBThere was Viking Conquest - it was an add-on, but it was the first AFAIK that really had a story to speak of. Reasonable question. I'm thinking Sandbox in BL is like Sandbox in VC. No main questline, places, units, whatever are readily available, and you can start as a noble with land, unlike in campaign.
