For going around the airport, actually didn't see that many planes. Its a good warm up or last day hike so as to not tire you out completely. If brining your dog, make sure they are well behaved as m…Full review by Anon8815

We drove up to the loop trail as we were told this is a great place to see the sunset. Apparently, everyone else visiting Sedona that day was told the same thing. We hit a huge line of slow-moving …Full review by tinaNtravel

We are staying in a house in West Sedona next week, from google maps it looks like we can walk along a trail (bandit) that connects up with Airport loop. Is that better than driving to the trailhead? Which way is better to walk along the trail once it connects off bandit (left/east or right/west). How long does it take the average early 40 year old? Is walking into town afterwards too much?

Drive as much of it as you can. Carry bottled water, and wear Hiking boots. We did the hike, and other travelers were very unprepared. No sunscreen, no hats, no water, no lip balm, all critical to be comfortable. Remember many areas are steep. Plan a full day to do both, about 4 hours for each half if you stop and take photos like we did. It may be winter, so just check the weather, go after sunrise and be out by 4pm when it starts to get dark. Let someone in town at your hotel know where you are going as a safety precaution. It is worth it and will be amazing!
