There are buses (line 7 and 17). I was staying in Plaka and cycled. Its only 8km they say but it still took 30-40 minutes because some of the roads are poor, it's warm and not always well sign posted. When you walk from the bus stop (at least 10 minutes I think) look out for the first car park on the right hand side. Go in here and proceed towards the beach. The decend to the beach take the Migri Vigla side.
