Hi there - a great question I wish I had thought of... On our last trip starting with Hwy 67 in Santee, there was very minimal delay, but it should all be repaired by now. There were 4 spots where the shoulder had washed out, and each one had maybe a 3-4 minute wait. When i returned 2 days later, 1 had been repaired and the other 3 were a day or two away from completion. That was on March 3rd. You should be OK by now.
would this drive be difficult for an 32 foot rv? did you see any rvs on this road?

We did not see RVs and it would be a treacherous drive. This may be the road where they filmed that old Lucy Ball movie with the RV - The Long Long Long Trailer.

We were in our rental vehicle. The roads are in good shape, just narrow at points so take it easy. There are places to pull off if you have people tailing you. If you are just going up to the top for the view, it is about 10 minutes up the hill from the base. If you are driving all the way to Paradise for the cafe it takes about 40 minutes.
