CLHS’s wall-to-wall academies provide a structure for career exploration and project-based learning around relevant and rigorous experiences. Students begin their journey in the Freshman Academy, where students explore their strengths and interests through career cruising, surveys/inventories, and business partner relationships. As sophomores, students choose which pathway best suits them in the Academy of Industry, Technology & Innovation or the Academy of Health & Human Services. Through the development of small learning communities centered around these two academies, our students are exposed to a multitude of careers, industry skills, and potential employers through classroom speakers, site visits, job shadowing, and internships.
