The Edinburgh Playhouse is the UK's largest all-seated theatre, playing host to some of the biggest names in live music, stand-up comedy and musical theatre. The venue was originally opened in 1929 as Scotland's second largest cinema. When it closed in 1973, it was resurrected by 'save the Playhouse' campaigners and restored into a fully functional theatre. The Edinburgh Playhouse is owned by ATG Entertainment.

Balcony Seating Keen to take my 14 year old daughter to see Six and once again left it very late. Tickets are limited and there are seats in the balcony in row H slightly to the side or more central a little further back. Very mixed reviews on the balcony yet the images show a reasonable view which I am wondering if these are realistic. so want to understand if just wasting my money and need to wait for the next time it is on! Many thanks

Q:
Can I take unopened soft drinks into a show?
A:
I don’t think so as they were checking bags for liquids last night
Q:
Can you get coffee
A:
I think you can, but if I'm honest, I'm not 100% sure, there is a Starbucks along the road from the theatre, and a wetherspoons literally next door.
