Glendale is a city located primarily in the Verdugo Mountains region, with a small portion in the San Fernando Valley, of Los Angeles County, California, United States. As of 2023, Glendale had a Census-estimated population of 187,050, down 8,493 from the 2020 United States census count of 196,543, which in turn was up from 191,719 at the 2010 census, making it the 4th-most populous city in Los Angeles County and the 24th-most populous city in California. It is located about 10 miles north of downtown Los Angeles.
