Sorry to answer late. We visited also primarily for the Manhattan Project history. We started at the National Historic Park visitor office. The guys there were extremely informative and happy to go into history of the detail of the area. They also gave us a walking tour brochure to follow. The Los Alamos History Museum is also worth a visit. It goes into detail of what the area was used for before the Manhattan project, as well as more information about the Manhattan project. Then we went back to the park visitor center to ask follow up questions. We did not visit the Bradbury Science museum.
