There isn't a lot of walking, but he may want assistance getting into the boat. Additionally, if this cruise goes to the Farmer House restaurant, there is a small dock and steps to walk up. There are pictures on the Mai Ping River Cruise website you can look at. The restaurant is amazing, but there is a slight incline to get there. Hope this helps.

I don’t remember the prices but I recall that our afternoon tour was good and fair value and included pick up and return to our accommodation. We decided to take advantage of being overthat side of town so declined the trip back. The jetty was definitely tricky to find even though we had previously walked past. I definitely recommend asking at hotel reception and you will avoid all the dilemmas of language and location.

In regards to the Mae Ping River Cruise, we just turned up at the wharf, We too, were a party of 4, and they accommodated us on the very next cruise leaving. Our party included 2 seniors, 1 adult and a 6 year old. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed being on the river with its sights, & loved the farm at the refreshment stop. Definitely not to be missed.
