Great little town full of shops and restaurants. We went during the week. It was easy to find free parking. We walked around for a bit. Then stopped at a bar and had a few drinks.Full review by TravelingBum52

If you're in Sedona and have some time, drive to Cottonwood. It's probably a 30 minute drive, but in my opinion, worth it. Sedona has all the trinket shops with Chinese junk being sold. Cottonwood…Full review by Fran M

Came to Sedona to visit and stayed in Cottonwood because it was much cheaper. Liked it so much I moved here 6 months ago. No regrets. Love Cottonwoods central to everything location. Only 16 fantasticly scenic miles to Sedona without all the traffic till you get there. Also only an hour in any direction from any major shopping like Phoenix, Prescott and Flagstaff. Has good medical and friendly people. Old town is fun place to explore and just a couple miles past it is Clarkdale, with it's not to be missed Copper Museum and on the other corner is a little caboose that houses the Best homemade bakery and sandwich place around but only open 6 days from 7am to 2 pm. Up the street is Main st cafe (used to be called boathouse bar and grill) with the best burgers in Az. and also has good pizza. But Cottonwood has a Great pizza place called Vinnies. Besides the Great taste, I love the selection from whole pies to single slices in white or red sauce with so many combos. Cottonwood is Az best kept secret.

For a small town Cottonwood has some excellent food establishments. We live in Sedona and drive over there a couple of times a week for lunch. The Tavern Grill is a real favorite. Not just 'bar food' with an interesting menu. For breakfast or coffee try Old Town Cafe. Small place but lovely, made on site sweets. Also nice sandwiches and salads for a quick lunch. A few doors down from the Old Town Cafe is another coffee shop Paradise Bakery. Lovely pies and coffee. Enjoy your visit.
