Hi, I'll be visiting Perth in 2nd half of October and thinking to see either Hutt Lagoon or Lake Hillier. We have 7-8 days in total and am wondering if its worth it just to go see either of those pink lakes? Otherwise, is there a road trip we can take from Perth to either of the places so we can cisit nearby places as well, as we might rent a car too. And at this time, which lake would be more pink? I am unfamiliar with theses names, however the Port Gregory , Pink Llake is worth a diversion, rather than that being the goal of your trip. Kalbarri has some very interesting landscapes, so divert to the Pink Lake on your way there from Geraldton. Shark Bay area is very interesting and beautiful however due to the distances I would advise one night there.

Because it's just an hour north of Geraldton most tours are organised from there. There is also an airplane tour leaving Geraldton which takes in the Pink Lake, sea cliffs of Kalbarri, Murchison River, Abrolhos Islands, and Wiebbe Hayes Fort.
