We had 3 generations going to Tom's Creek Falls and we all enjoyed it. Picturesque trail along creek provides beautiful backdrop. Mostly level. Falls worth seeing.Full review by Sunsndfunmom

You might try Curtis Creek in the Pisgah National Forest between Marion and Old Fort. Wilsons Creek off is 181 northeast of Morganton ( It's on Brown Mt beach road, there is a visitors center) isn't as close but it is a great place for fly fishing.
