This hike is amazing year round. Like any higher altitude hike it's important to know if there's been RECENT snow or rain. You can always cut it short if conditions indicate. Challenging, beautiful (especially at the top) - I would recommend that you bring adequate water and pack a lunch or snack. There are lots of areas to enjoy the view and sit on some slide rock. Layer your clothing, wear sun screen.
