Since its inauguration in 1974, many important national and international conference, exhibition, fair, indoor sports and musical concerts were held at JICC, including the 10th Non-Aligned Movement Conference in 1992, the Asian-African Conference in 2005 and 2015, and the ASEAN Summit in 2011 and 2023.
