Mechane is a municipality in the Byblos District of Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate, Lebanon. Its inhabitants are predominantly Maronite Catholics and Shia Muslims. The town is the find spot of the Mishan inscription, carved in Ancient Greek on a statue base.
