West Liberty is a town in Ohio County, West Virginia, United States. The population was 1,557 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Wheeling metropolitan area. West Liberty was given its name during the American Revolution. It served as the county seat of Ohio County, Virginia from 1777 to 1797.
