The Tang Dynasty show is advertised as 163 yuan but when you try buy tickets they are way way more. Is this false advertising? We are on a limited budget.

They don't feed you automatically at the show so you would not have problems with dumplings. Ordering food is extra. We ate outside before the show. Most dumplings are made with wheat flour, unless you source them from some expat that has a specialized business catering to people with Celiac.

There are more than a dozen kinds of dumplings served. Some have meat, including pork. At the same time, my wife is vegan, and the dinner theatre was happy to — and did — serve her a dinner that consisted of only meatless varieties of dumplings. They were happy to accommodate her preferences, and there was no shortage of food.
From what I could see it was a set menu of Dumplings and Desert. Most of the Dumplings were meat or seafood based. However, you can eat close by and then see the show only.
