Astro Bot, the colorful and quirky platformer from Tokyo-based Team Asobi, snagged another Game Of The Year distinction. The 3D title fared well at yesterday’s 28th annual D.I.C.E. Awards, leaving with the night’s biggest award and four others — Outstanding Achievement in Animation,

“At The Game Awards 2024, our first-party title Astro Bot won four categories, including Game of the Year and Best Family Game, the most of any title,” Totoki said. “In addition, the live service game Helldivers 2, released in February last year, won the Best Ongoing Game and Best Multiplayer Game awards.

Although it may not have been the biggest sales success Sony’s ever had, Astro Bot’s prestige has pleased the company enough to pursue making similar games.
