The Getty Villa, Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles Zoo and more are shutting their doors while wildfires swarm Southern California.

The Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, located in Griffith park, closed to the public on Tuesday and remains closed Wednesday. The popular scientific observatory and planetarium located at the top of the Hollywood Hills is closed Wednesday due to the wind.

As Los Angeles attempts to combat wildfires on the edge of the city, reports indicate the city could be running out of water.

A rapidly growing wildfire raged across an upscale section of Los Angeles on Tuesday, destroying homes and creating traffic jams as 30,000 people evacuated beneath huge plumes of smoke that covered much of the metropolitan area.

The City of Los Angeles declared a state of emergency over the massive fire, which spanned nearly 3,000 acres as of Tuesday evening.
