Carowinds’s parent company Six Flags announced layoffs, in an effort to reduce its full-time staff across the company. Following the company’s quarterly earnings call with investors on May 8, Six Flags representatives said they are cutting over 10 percent of their full-time positions.

The amusement park Carowinds is facing layoffs as the summer season kicks off, the company announced. These cuts come after the park's parent company, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, introduced plans to reduce its full-time workforce by more than 10% across all its operations.
