The Trump administration continues to rewrite COVID-19 vaccine protocol with the announcement by U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that healthy children and pregnant women will no longer be on the list of recommendations for the shots.

Federal public health guidance now excludes healthy children and expecting mothers from routine COVID-19 shots.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said in a post to X on Tuesday, "I couldn't be more pleased to announce that, as of today, the COVID-19 vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from the CDC recommended immunization schedule."
