Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey and Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier issued a warning to protesters planning on attacking law enforcement ahead of nationwide "No Kings Protests" on June 12, 2025.

"If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains because we will kill you," Sheriff Ivey said. Ivey said that those consequences can be avoided if the law is obeyed.
