In preparation for the winter weather, Florida school districts, colleges, and universities have closed their doors ahead of the system's arrival.

As a winter storm is expected to impact Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia beginning Tuesday night, some school districts are beginning to announce closures.

This is part of "the historic winter storm along the Gulf Coast and Southeast," the National Weather Service reported.
