Though Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico counties all do use supply from Richmond's water system, they removed themselves from the supply and transferred to other supplies on Monday.

Virginia‘s legislative session will begin on Wednesday but will immediately gavel out for the day until next week because of water problems in Richmond. Richmond was placed under a boil advisory on Monday after a significant winter storm caused a power outage at the city’s water treatment plant.
