The Indiana women's basketball team faces its toughest test this season: a matchup against UCLA, the nation's No. 1-ranked team. IU is 10-3 overall and 2-0 in the Big Ten Conference. The Hoosiers are on a six-game win streak. UCLA is 14-0 overall and 3-0 in league play.

Indiana did a lot of things right against No. 1 UCLA at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall. The defense was solid for stretches of the game. And there were times when Indiana was able to solve UCLA’s size advantage and get some offense going.

Lauren Betts had 25 points and 12 rebounds and No. 1 UCLA shut out Indiana for more than eight minutes in the first half of a 73-62 victory in its first visit as a Big Ten Conference member.
