Jacob Bridgeman has a one-shot lead going into the weekend at a very crowded Valspar Championship. Perhaps the real surprise was Viktor Hovland being among those one shot back.

Bridgeman said he wanted Clemson to "win the whole thing" and while that won't happen, he's in position to do just that at the Valspar Championship.

Everybody from the 97th-ranked player in the world, 25-year-old Jacob Bridgeman, the lone leader at 6-under-par, to the world No. 3, Xander Schauffele, who is only two strokes back. Just one shot off the lead are a world variety three-pack: Norway’s Viktor Hovland, Japan’s Ryo Hisatsune and South Korea’s Ben An.
