For at least a few weeks, the New Orleans Saints' three-man competition to win the team's starting quarterback job will be down to two players. Jake Haener, who is one of the quarterbacks who is competing to win the job,

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Haener suffered an oblique strain at the end of Wednesday's practice, and while it will keep him out for "a couple of weeks," he is expected to be healed up in time for the start of training camp.

Haener, 26, was amid a three-way competition for the starting quarterback spot with rookie Tyler Shough and Spencer Rattler. Despite being seen as the long shot to win the job, the third-year quarterback has the most pro experience in the QB room.
