A student was found with an unloaded gun at John F. Kennedy Middle School on Thursday. According to a message from the middle school to parents and guardians, the unloaded gun was found in a student’s backpack Thursday afternoon by school police.

RIVIERA BEACH — A student at John F. Kennedy Middle School is facing criminal charges and school disciplinary action after an unloaded gun was found in the student's backpack on Thursday, the Palm Beach County School District said.
