Lindsey Vonn fell toward the end of a World Cup downhill training run on Thursday and appeared slightly banged up. Vonn got back up and skied to the finish area on the Olympia delle Tofane course but then went inside a medical tent for treatment.

Over the weekend in St. Anton, Austria, skiing legend Lindsey Vonn continued to prove that age is truly just a number. The 40-year-old Parkite finished in fourth and sixth in the St. Anton World Cup super-g and downhill races, respectively, her best results in her retirement comeback. The Cup was only Vonn’s third event back.

Vonn won a record 43 downhills in her 82-win World Cup career. Her previous World Cup downhill had been in January 2019, placing ninth at Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy.

The United States star — the greatest downhill racer in women’s World Cup history — was fastest in the first part of the course, touching 77 miles per hour.
