A grand-prize winning lottery ticket was recently sold at a convenience store near Interstate 26, South Carolina Education Lottery officials said in a news release. The person who bought a Palmetto Cash 5 ticket prior to Thursday night’s drawing won $160,000 — the game’s most recent rolling jackpot, according to the release.

A winning Keno ticket worth $40,000 was sold at a liquor store on Cape Cod on Saturday. The ticket was purchased at RJ’s Variety & Liquor on Sandwich Road in Falmouth. Also on Saturday, a winning $100,000 Mass Cash ticket was sold at a convenience store in Athol.

One small decision prompted by a store clerk turned into a “six-figure payday” for a South Carolina lottery player, officials said.
