Miami’s upset loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday dealt a blow to the Hurricanes. The defeat ended UM’s undefeated season as many issues that cropped up during the first nine games came back to bite the Hurricanes.

Unsurprisingly, the Hurricanes took a tumble in this week’s College Football Playoff rankings following their first loss of the season. Fortunately for Miami, a path to the playoff is still wide open despite falling to No. 9 on Tuesday after ranking fourth in the initial rankings. UM also fell to No. 12 in other polls.
