The Yankees started day two of the MLB Draft by taking another SEC pitcher. After selecting six in the first nine rounds last year, the Yankees picked Mississippi State junior left-hander Pico Kohn in the fourth round (134th overall) on Monday.

Mississippi State baseball ace Pico Kohn was picked in the fourth round of the 2025 MLB Draft on July 14. The New York Yankees chose Kohn with the No. 134 pick. He's the third player connected to MSU to be picked in the 2025 draft behind high school signees JoJo Parker and Landon Harmon. The pick has a $550,300 slot value.

Some Mississippi college baseball players were called during Day 1 of the 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) Draft. According to the University of Mississippi, Mason Morris was the first Rebel to hear his named called in the draft.
