It's Qualifying Day on the streets of Monte Carlo as Formula One sets the grid for Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix. Charles Leclerc, the Monaco native who won last year's race, enters after a setting the best course time in Friday practice.

What did Friday’s two practice sessions tell us? Well, one, that it could end up being a three-team fight for pole position. Despite their proclamations that they will not be very good this weekend, Ferrari put in a strong showing in both FP1 and FP2, with local hero Charles Leclerc fastest of anyone in both of those sessions.

The Monaco curse was broken for Charles Leclerc last year when he crossed the line victorious at his home grand prix after a few seasons of heartbreak. The Monaco Grand Prix may be “the jewel in Formula 1’s crown” but the race itself is rarely must-see TV. Sometimes, it’s downright dull.
