As the country prepares for the next hurricane season, Miami meteorologist John Morales issued a warning about how federal budget cuts at the National Weather Service and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration will impact meteorologists’ ability to predict and track threats.

"Never have we faced the combustible mix of a lack of meteorological data and the less accurate forecasts that follow," he said.
