COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football team is losing a ton on defense, including the man in charge of coordinating it.

In 2014, Ash left Arkansas to be co-defensive coordinator at Ohio State. He worked in tandem with fellow co-coordinator Luke Fickell, focusing on the team's defensive backs and trying to fix a defense that had surrendered 268 passing yards per game the year before.

It always happens in sports where teams who do well must continually rebuild staff. Alabama rarely went a year without one of Nick Saban’s assistant coaches being poached for lateral moves or promotions.
