In the wake of California violence, Texas National Guard will be on hand for the  downtown event. Organizers say they expect things to be peaceful.

This isn't the first protest San Antonio has seen this week in regards to immigration raids. On Wednesday, June 11, A peaceful demonstration was held despite a significant police presence and more than 300 demonstrators at the Alamo and City Hall.

Demonstrators crowded into streets, parks and plazas across the U.S. on Saturday to protest President Donald Trump, mixing anti-authoritarian messages with support for immigrants and calls to protect democracy.
