Some of the players were given jobs as teachers. Some of the players were 28 and 30 years old, and everyone called them “scabs.”

The seven-episode series, according to Netflix, captures the pressure, pageantry and intensity of SEC football like never before. On August 5, Netflix is releasing a new docuseries “SEC Football: Any Given Saturday” that will provide “unprecedented access to the players, coaches, and programs that define the sport’s most dominant league” and “will spotlight high-stakes games, rivalry week showdowns, and the personal stories that shape each season.”
