California's academic community was rocked by the news that dozens of foreign students had their visas revoked, with the move apparently connected to their participation in campus protests.
On Friday, a university spokesperson described visa revocations as “extremely rare,” while student activists said they had raised more than $10,000 for the student’s legal aid fund. As it stands, the international student now has until the end of next week to leave the country or find a legal pathway to remain.
The Trump administration has until 11:59 p.m. Monday to return to the United States a Maryland man who the government admits was accidentally deported to a high-security prison in El Salvador.
