If the former Auburn football coach does become governor, he would be the first person born outside Alabama elected to the state’s highest office since before America entered World War II.

Republican Sen. Tommy Tuberville is running for governor of Alabama, he announced Tuesday with the launch of a campaign website.

Hudson's campaign website doesn't have specific policy positions, but states that he will “secure the border, crush the woke agenda, and defend our Christian values.”
