LiAngelo Ball is officially a Billboard Hot 100-charting artist, as his breakthrough viral hit, "Tweaker," debuts at No. 29 on the Jan. 18-dated chart. The song debuts almost entirely from its streaming sum: 12.

LiAngelo Ball has signed a deal with Def Jam and Universal Music Group, a representative from his label Born2Ball Music Group says. Sources said the deal is worth as much as $13 million, with $8 million guaranteed, and gives Ball full ownership of music and his own record label.

LiAngelo is expanding his life playbook, taking a pivot from his hoop dreams to a fresh focus on music with a new record deal.
