Actor who went missing near Thailand-Myanmar border confirms he fell victim to human trafficking scheme disguised as film casting call.

Thai police previously reported that Wang Xing had been lured into Myanmar by fraud groups and had lost contact with his friends and family near the border between the two Southeast Asian nations

Wang Xing, a Chinese actor renowned for his role in “Ip Man 3” and also known by his stage name Xing Xing, disclosed that during his kidnapping in Myanmar, he was coerced into learning scamming techniques.

Wang Xing, 31, was terrified by the thought that he would have to scam his fellow countrymen if he did not get rescued.
