The Minnesota Timberwolves and superstar guard Anthony Edwards were unable to pull off a Game 1 win on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. When all was said and done, the Timberwolves came up short by a final score of 114-88.
Edwards put on the moves to pull out a between-the-legs step back jump shot from far beyond the arc as the halftime buzzer sounded, draining the shot with two defenders right in his face. The deep buzzer-beating three-pointer from Anthony Edwards has gone viral on social media.
The Minnesota Timberwolves trolled the Golden State Warriors after eliminating them in the second round of the playoffs on Wednesday night with a social media post involving T-Wolves star Anthony Edwards and Warriors legend Stephen Curry.
The Timberwolves ended up with the top overall pick in 2020 and selected Edwards. The Warriors, meanwhile, got the No. 3 overall pick and drafted James Wiseman.
