White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency after undergoing a comprehensive exam by his physician.

The White House said President Donald Trump was diagnosed with a “chronic venous insufficiency” after he was examined for mild swelling in his lower legs.

Symptoms include aching or tired limbs, discolored skin, and swelling in the affected areas, usually in the lower legs and ankles.

President Donald Trump requested the cuts, which include significant cuts to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The passage marks a win for Trump, who called the cuts a priority even though some Republicans voiced opposition.

The House is expected to approve President Donald Trump’s request to claw back about $9 billion in already appropriated funding for public broadcasting and foreign aid Thursday evening.

Senator Lisa Murkowski, from Alaska, was one of two Republicans who joined all Democrats in voting against the bill, in part due to the cuts to public broadcasting.
