If one thing gets you to try out Syndicate, let it be the fact that it helped set the course for the next big Creed RPG way back in 2015. That's because before Assassin's Creed Shadows was a twinkle in Ubisoft Quebec's collective eye, Syndicate marked the first time players got to experience dual protagonists in an AC game.

For those on Xbox Series X, PS5, or PS5 Pro it introduces the option to play at 4K resolution at 60fps or at 1080p resolution at 60fps. Xbox Series S players will be restricted to just 1080p at 60fps, though this is understandable given the lower power of the system relative to other modern consoles.

Update [Tue 19th Nov 2024, 6:15am]: As promised, Ubisoft has released the 60fps patch for Assassin's Creed Syndicate. It's available to download now on PS5 (and PS5 Pro, of course), doubling the PS4 title's frame rate for a much smoother experience.

Apparently, despite it being nearly a decade since Assassin’s Creed Syndicate was released, that doesn’t mean it’s done getting updates.

Yesterday, Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed Syndicate would be getting a 60FPS update for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and that update is now available - you can jump into it right now on your current-gen console!

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is set to receive a 60FPS patch on consoles on November 19, nine years after its release. This will bring the frame rate of the Victorian Era-inspired Assassin's Creed Syndicate on current-gen PlayStation and Xbox consoles closer to what's available on PC.

Blimey guvnor! Ubisoft has only gone and slapped a shiny ol' update on Assassin's Creed Syndicate, that game set in Victorian London. Ahem. First released in 2015, it's something of a surprise to see Syndicate get an update now.
