The Florida Panthers are on the brink of advancing to their third consecutive Stanley Cup Final. Florida put together a five-goal third period to defeat the Carolina Hurricanes, 6-2, in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final.

“What I take from it is we won three, but it doesn’t take three to win a series,” Panthers star winger Matthew Tkachuk said. “That’s the simplest answer I’ve got. We need one more, and it’s the hardest one to win.”

With two assists in Saturday night’s 6-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final -- his third straight multi-assist game -- Rodrigues became only the sixth player in NHL history to record multiple assists in each of the first three games of the Conference Finals.

The Carolina Hurricanes switched goalies for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals, starting Pyotr Kochetkov in net against the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers.
