Acadiana could see flooding going into the weekend along with heavy rain and winds, according to the National Weather Service center. A flood watch is in effect from Friday morning through Saturday afternoon due to excessive rainfall that is expected to push through the area with a 20 percent chance of showers starting Thursday.

A flood watch that was in effect for some Southeast Texas counties has been canceled, but isolated heavy rain is still possible on Friday.
