Renowned footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the highest-paid athlete of 2024 by Sportico. The superstar's total earnings for the year stood at a staggering $260 million. The income mainly came from his salary and winnings worth $215 million, playing for Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr and Portugal's national team.

For a second year in a row, Cristiano Ronaldo has topped the list of Sportico 's highest-paid athletes in the world. He earned a total of $260M (over Rs 2,000 crore) – $215M (approximately Rs 1,800 crore) on the field and $45M (approximately Rs 390 crore) off the field.
