The British Medical Association, the union representing doctors, has said the pay rise does not go far enough in restoring historical pay freezes.

Dr Darby qualified as a doctor in 1984 from the University of Birmingham and qualified as a GP in 1989. From 1989, he worked as a GP Partner at the Halesowen Medical Practice, retiring in 2016.
