Another key piece of evidence supporting the idea that the people of Nintendo are actively thinking about Donkey Kong’s butt comes from the recent Ask A Developer interview series on Nintendo.com, where producer Kenta Motokura says, “we were also conscious of how Donkey Kong would look from the back while he’s moving.”

Donkey Kong is back in a brand new 3D Adventure for the first time in over 20 years. Developed by the team behind Mario Odyysey, you'll be able to control Donkey Kong and his sidekick - a young singer named Pauline, as they travel below the Earth through various, vast subterranean layers in search of banana-shaped treasure.

The weird part is... Takeda voiced Donkey Kong in the Super Mario Bros. Movie as well (well spotted, IGN ). As you probably know, the movie role is actually voiced. Takeda's English-speaking counterpart is Seth Rogen. Takeda also "voices" Donkey Kong in Mario Kart: World, replacing Takashi Nagasako who had performed the role for over two decades.
